General Rules of OekakiCentral
NO COMPLAINING ABOUT THE RULES. IF YOU DRAW HERE, YOU AGREE TO ALL OF THEM WITHOUT DISCUSSION.
In general, if you're new to OekakiCentral, start in the Training Grounds or another of the 1-star rooms. Unless you are familiar with the oekaki tools, and have experience at drawing, you run the risk of having your pictures deleted in the higher level rooms. If you want to get rated, access the Star Rating page and send a message to the mods, including in your message a link to one (or more) of your oekaki pictures. Please use any of the 1-star rooms to draw your submission pictures.

[!] If you have any issues or questions, please contact a moderator before you start drawing! Be aware that any image that doesn't meet the rules of the room will be deleted without warning.
Rules of the 1-Star Rooms
- Minimum time requirement: 10 minutes. Everything posted with a time of less than 10 minutes is automatically deleted by the system.
The retouch feature is available for the pictures that display a working time of 30 minutes or more. Safety saves are allowed only if a considerable effort has already been invested in the image (subject to the moderator's discretion.)
Be sure to mark your picture as Finished once it's completely done, otherwise it will be removed from the room within 24 hours. Incomplete images marked as Finished will be removed.
Finished images: sketches and studies can stay, IF they look complete enough (meaning not missing half the body parts.)
- Please DO NOT comment or ask for comments if your picture is not finished, unless it's to point out something that need to be fixed. It's more appropriate to comment on things when they're actually done, and give the artist a chance to show what they've got.
- Rudeness is not tolerated ANYWHERE. Please keep in mind that this board is a gallery of pictures, not an art school. Critiques are welcomed only if they're constructive and polite. There is no need to be harsh or rude in order to express yourself, or to give a fair, honest critique.
- Do not post links to other sites, or to images on other sites in comments.
- This is an English-speaking board, so please use only English when commenting. No internet slang ("ish", "U", "B", "evah" etc.) around, please. Also, try to avoid all-caps sentences: on the net it's equal to shouting and it's pretty rude. ;)
- Only moderators are allowed to give out star ratings.
- Use of thumbnails and JPG compression are our way to preserve bandwidth. You can see the full-size, better quality JPG image when leaving a comment on it, so please refrain from posting links to "better" versions of the images, in your comments.
- Contests and prizes: contests are allowed only in the Farm and Mouse Trap rooms. Note that "2-stars collaborations" are not valid prizes for contests held in a 1-star room—everyone must have the opportunity to participate and everyone must have an equal chance for winning.
- Roleplaying is not allowed in any of the rooms. If you want to roleplay, you are free to use OCmails instead.
Even in the general rooms, some types of pictures are not allowed at OekakiCentral. If you want your picture to stay, DO NOT post:
- images smaller than 100x100 pixel.
- Pictures that are all text.
- "Test" pictures done only to try out the tools.
- Giant eyes in the middle of the canvas—please try to draw something more, like the whole face for instance.
- Home movies done with the animated applet—this is a drawing board and not a movie board.
- Images without a comment from the artist—this board is not for spam.
- Images with comments like "this sucks", "this is crappy"—if you don't like the image, don't submit it.
- Images or comments that depict or suggest excessive violence, self-harm, excessive gore (subject to the moderator's discretion), defecation, or a vulgar nature. This will also extend to anything promoting hate, intolerance and discrimination of all types.
- Images of explicit (sexual) nudity—these kinds of pictures may be drawn in the Bedroom, a 2-stars room. Artistic (non-sexual) nudity is acceptable in any room.
- In the themed rooms, any picture which does not fit the theme—themed 1-star rooms are listed below.

Please note that "virtual pets" (such as Neopets, Subeta and AfterMathZone characters) are allowed ONLY in the Farm (1-star room) and in the Main Hall (3-stars room).

- Hybrid room (rated 1star and 1/2) A room where users who are close to working at the 2-stars can try out and get assistance in order to improve
Finally, if you feel that an unjust decision has been made, you may appeal it to one of the superadmins or to the management, in that order. (Check the list of the staff members on the main page of the site)
