Her opponent was supposedly one of fame and should have given her trouble, but instead our hero was too much even for the princess of pain. It wasn't long before even the crowd understood that their long loved princess wasn't going to be dishing out the wounds, but instead would be feeling the pain in which she had been known for giving out. With one last, devastating punch, the princess was knocked out cold in her third match against the barbaric woman, and she stumbled against the inner rings confinement, slumping to the ground. The last words she heard were "Even a princess can't withstand my might. It was all too easy."

Yes, I know corny :( I really like Chu Mengs art... I hope I did it justice. I used a really crappy laser mouse. It has this problem where the cursor doesn't stay put and so its hard to control the movements xD Thats why it took so long. That and I was watching anime.

Wow, you put a LOT of effort into this and it really shows. I love the direction of her dress, the movement and stuff. My only critiques are to maybe make the background lines of the building smoother and straighter, and fix the wine glass. I don't know why but it looks kind of off >_< Maybe you could look at a wine glass reference?

Your understanding of light and how it hits surfaces is impressive. I'd like to see more contrast in the colours - especially the background. Also, it doesn't look like the light eminating from below/behind is affecting the solid surfaces anywhere. This is just nitpicky stuff!

Thank you for the compliments.
I do see why you might want more contrast but there is so much light that things should appear washed. I don't know what surface you are talking about when you say the light should be affecting it more, if it's the cloud castles then yes, I should have probably washed them out more (or in my true opinion, because I hate and struggled with them so much, get rid of them all together).
You may be right though, I'm self taught and just go off what I see and memory.
Anyway, thanks again, I love advice.

Ohhh this is different! It looks so sad! I think its really hard to get the effect of making it look like its on a flat surface, but you did a nice job! It definitely looks smeared on a wall, its really cool actually.

I love this. I love solid coloring, its the best. The solids are so smooth on the character. I just want to lick it. The skin coloring is great, and I love the background!

Just some friendly criticism though. You might want to darken the dark shading on the coat by just a TAD,like just enough to tell there is a difference between the colors from a further distance and the thumbnail, because right now it looks so close to the light color that it almost doesn't look shaded, especially when there's so many lighter colors with the rest of the image. As for the green part of the coat, perhaps you were going for the silky look? Its kind of confusing with the lighting :X. If you were going for the silky look, there are sure to be pictures online of what silk looks like when light touches it. The only reason I'm saying all this is because I really love your use of solids, and I want this to stay up.

Ryoko again lol. This time getting ready for her date with Tenchi, since a friend and I were talking about this earlier. I really like how her face came out.

Yes the face is nice though for some reason it seems her mouth is at a different angle then the rest of the face. Also the hand with the lipstick looks odd, like its not gripping the makeup right. Other hand is excellant.

I like her hair, is so amazing *-* her right hand is really very good. The other hand is a little crooked.
A tip: erase a little the less finger, and also the fold between the forefinger and thumb. That's on the left hand. ;)

Their ear is a bit to low and far back. Try moving it to where the hairline is at the moment. Then align it with the eyes and nose. At the moment it is aligned with the nose and mouth.

Lines are still kinda rough, and there's a problem with her right arm (the shoulder should be more visible with the arm streched/fold like that); also, the forearms should be shorter that the upper part of the arms.

Could you please try to fix the image? :)

The overall image is really nice but the proportions with the arms are off. The mouth, too, needs to be brought back and angled down slightly. I also notice something with the eye closest us, it needs to be dropped down a little and moved back towards the ear. Just moving the eye and mouth a bit would improve this drastically. Just some helpful criticism.

Ryoko has always been my favorite Tenchi Muyo character and I've never been able to do her justice lol. AND everyone always draws her aggressive side, so I decided to draw her more vulnerable. Also, perspective~

I've never seen a realism drawing of her either, but I don't draw anime and this is typically how I draw lips so... I don't know. If they look too harshly defined and the lines can't be accepted with them the way they are, I'll change them.
