I love the shading, especially the hint of backlighting on the legs and bangles. The details, like the lips, eyes, and hooves, are good as well.

The way you coloured it is so dreamy.
Especially the wash of colours all around, looks like a watercolour piece.
The edges around the hair are really pixelly though, it sort of throws off the dreamy atmosphere.

Wow, I actually finished it in one sitting. That's amazing for me. I orginally planned for it to be a sunset, but the ending sky looked more like sunrise to me. I hated the hair when I started, but now I like it. I still hate the grass.

Since my other picture is...messed up, I'm submitting this one as my last shot at the coloring book instead. I will touch up the rough edges tomorrow - please let me know if there's anything else I can do besides smoothing my colors to make it up to Coloring Book standards!!

Well NOW that it saves changes I can't edit original comments. Go Figure...

Explanation : In my mind the background is actually like a still picture behind the 'princess' and frog, both of whom are actors. Since it's probably a kids movie, that's why I left it 'whimsical' (this is why none of the stalks or blades of grass are shaded), which to some people probably looks more like 'unfinished' : P Since when do princesses wear something so simply elegant as a sun dress anyways? : P

C&C welcome, should the image meet CB standards.

P.S. For some reason the animation doesn't show all the work I did after the safety save... why does paint refuse to work with me? >_>

love the way you kept with the movement of the line art with the fabric in the background. also very much like the color palette you chose, though the greenish tinges in the hair stand out a little oddly. and though i quite like the majority of your shading, the face and hair could benefit from the type of definition you applied elsewhere (her legs, breaches, tunic, all give a wonderful impression of the shapes and lighting).

Well, I know there must be a Safty Save Limit, but I'm quite proud of this peice, and I'm going on a unexpected and out of the blue family trip. Every blue moon my super-paranoid aunt freaks out (she never leaves her house) and we live the closest to her. That means I probably wont be back for a couple days.

I hope thats o'kay.

It takes me forever to choose colors. I think I'm pretty satisfied with these.
I decided I want to color her using only shades of the default colors :>
