The butterfly is better than I thought it would be. Hopefully I will be able to complete this tomarrow, but I already spent so much time on what I have that I don't know if i wil. Plus, I'm not sure how to go about drawing the flowers...

Amazing! The mix of sharp and blur in the appropriate places makes it feel like a photograph. Very nice textures too.

Agreed. The sharpness of the details in the foreground and less defined lines in the background are almost more like a photo than the original picture, and I think that makes the flowers quite good the way they are.

I wanted to challenge myself...and boy did I..
I always dislike doing any butterfly drawings, they're so complicated...-_-
I got kind of tired towards the end and hurried to send it in...=)

This is the first Oekaki I have done in YEARS. The colors and the blendind aren't as good as I would have liked, but they're not bad considering the time I spent on it and having to re-learn everything.

I'm kind of lazy and I like to be creative, so I decided to take a different approach on this piece.
I only used water color on a black background. To me, the spheres look like planets or something.

(I'm a very slow worker; the time might be a little high.)

I had been waiting for a less complicated image to copy..
I knew I should have done this in shipainter, I can't blend well at all in paintbbs. I wanted to challenge myself, though, and try it...

I watched your animation for this piece. I wish I could do line art that good, but it's nearly impossible with my current mouse. This is great practice in my opinion.

Definitely a challenging photo to copy. All the reflected light and glare really created a mess of shapes that is complex and intimidating. I considered stopping many times but I just kept working on small portions at a time. By the end, I paid less attention to the subtleties of the photo. >_<
