oh wow, this is really beautiful. Very detailed, nice job =).

Airirea @ 2009-03-28 09:42:46
Niceee love the colours especially on the face. And the details are just awesome.

The position of the eyes seem a bit off though? Or maybe that's just me

Dm7 @ 2009-03-29 11:07:28
Wow I love your style and color scheme, it feels cool, yet warm too due to red and gold touch to it, two balanced temperatures mix nicely into one equal feeling that provoke you beyond into time alternation, perhaps in a golden era.

Furthermore, I love your hat and dress design. They work well together! With that being said, there's a minor issue. I think her left eye is a little off. To demonstrate this, use your thumb to block off half part of her face and then compare both sides. On the right side, she looks relaxed and her face looks good; however, on left, she looks little sad and 'closed'.

Just a thought. :} Beautiful painting!

kungfu05 @ 2009-03-29 13:41:06
Gasp!! Another submit! Oh man those details are stunning. Especially how u are able to cast light on them. I am so afraid to do any detail like that because I suck at shadows. This is breath taking.

popeyethecat @ 2009-03-29 07:16:34
That's very beautiful, I love the colours and the contrasting colour in the bottom left corner. Really brings it together. I also like how the line of light is a little off centre. Nice composition!

Mana @ 2009-03-29 12:27:41

OMG ppl are finally submitting stuff in the main hall! Yay. This is so great I love the atmospheric perspective in this. The colors are perfect giving it that mystical tropical feeling. Well done!

GeminiRyoko @ 2009-03-29 16:25:23
The colors are absolutely stunning! This is the kind of art that inspires me. This is the kind of art and color I would crave to see in a fantasy video game these days. Its fantastic. This picture is almost too good for words. Amazing.

TurtleQueen @ 2009-03-31 00:52:21
wow very lovely! extremely effective use of the canvas too, the way the whole length of it just kind of sucks me in :D really draws my eye to follow the path of the light (which by the way is beautifully done!) I love the misty iridescent feeling...wonderful!

The lack of artwork being posted in this room disappoints me D8

So I'll spam it with effeminate dudes with massive ears until someone else posts some pretty arts here.

Yesss.

lavalizard @ 2009-02-16 05:10:51
That's not much incentive for me to draw then, is it? X-D

Awesome picture again. It's so crisp and 3D-looking. And I love massive ears too:-)

I'll draw something here sooner or later. Not within the next two weeks though... Going on a road tripping quest halfway across the country and back:-P

LaurieSuncat @ 2009-02-16 08:48:40
If you insist on having them wear flowers in their hair, then that "effeminate" label is gonna stick. Is this guy a friend of Turu's?

Mana @ 2009-02-16 10:52:38
Lavalizard: Cool 8D Enjoy your road trip!

Laurie: haaha, yeah, he's a friend of Tu's. He's really quite fabulous though. As far as he's concerned--he's not gay. But seriously--he's not fooling anyone.

GeminiRyoko @ 2009-02-16 20:48:27

Yaaayyy oekaki! it's been a year or two since I did any, it's nice to be back (despite some applet errors I had :p )
anyway, I've lately gotten into a Taiwanese drama called Fated to Love You, and this is the main character Chen Xin Yi.

LaurieSuncat @ 2008-11-27 10:43:57
Great to see you back, and to have more work from you. I like the subdued color palette you've used, where the brightest colors are actually the shoulder of her sweater.

tiamat4eva @ 2008-12-02 20:20:42
lol that was a really interesting drama. totally recognized her too, she has that very specific look XP I really like how you used flushed pinks across her face

MadHatter @ 2008-12-04 16:27:31
that's a very interesting artwork. :)

But... I think that maybe you could work on the bg a little more - it looks kinda rushed that way (I know it's part of the style but... it doesn't convince me).
Can you please try to put something more there? :)

kungfu05 @ 2008-10-06 18:05:25
Wow great use of light and dark values. The composition also makes this image even more interesting with the big white clock contrasting so well with the dark skulls in the corner. The light amount of blood gives it a mysterious yet almost subtle feeling to the whole image.

FantasyWolf @ 2008-10-07 07:42:07
love how you did everything in black&white and made the blood red ;] really great drawing

Cloudy Crystals @ 2008-10-07 17:44:00
I love how detailed this is - the eyes, the clock hands, the bit of decomposed clock leading to the skulls...

Lovely picture. :)

nice contrast and for. good design. neet. but not nearly as morbid as you think it is.

Ann Oni @ 2008-10-26 03:12:16
I love the composition, and the sketchy-but-detailed look. One of my favorite things about it is that the white areas (shirt collar, face, clock face, arm) all seem to make a question mark shape, so the mystery of 'what's happening' is reinforced in the composition.

DommestiX @ 2008-10-28 18:07:35
This is really gorgeous, and I have to ask, is the title a reference to Sylar in Heroes ?

ereya @ 2008-10-29 15:42:02
mausy - hahaha you're right.
Ann Oni - Woww thanks for the observation!! That's so cool... but yeah, the question mark was totally unintentional.
DommestiX - Nope, never heard of Skylar in Heroes.

Why did most the comments disappear here?

LaurieSuncat @ 2008-06-21 10:23:04
Because everyone is expected to keep the discussion civil. The moment people start arguing in public, and throwing insults around, the comments will be removed. If it continues, the perpetrators will be dealt with more severely. Imagine that you're in a public art gallery--if you start having loud, acrimonious arguments, you will be asked to cut it out and maybe asked to leave.

And please don't start with "I didn't mean it that way." It's how it comes across on the board that counts.

Lucrecia @ 2008-06-21 16:51:23
Ah. I do apologize my comment was not well recieved. Let me try again with a bit more tact. This reminds me of Falk's work. When I said it just falls short I SHOULD have added that it does have potential. Just give it a bit more love and care. Work those shadows in a bit more smoothely and add more detail? Perhaps she is wearing a bit of dark lace. Perhaps my gamma is up a bit high on my computer but I see every dark smudge in this that perhaps the artist does not see due to different settings on their display.

hannahk51 @ 2008-06-24 17:36:02

Rawru @ 2008-07-03 21:21:09
I disagree, I think this is beautiful as it is. Not everything has to be high gloss smoothness and refined. It says what it wants to quietly and roughly.

Lallijandra @ 2008-07-06 23:46:30
I like the contrast.

MaddHattre @ 2008-08-14 16:45:46
This is amazing. The rose is gorgeous, vivid, and not overly detailed so as to cast a shadow over the rest of the painting. Great detail in the face which even reaches to her eyelashes.

At first when I was watching the animation I was like 'euh...not really 3 stars..' but by the end you had it fixed it up so much that it really represents an artistic side..
I also really like how her eyes are two different colors, brings a sense of rebellion to the picture in my opinion.. (I'm weird tho, so don't ask)

Malory @ 2008-06-25 10:50:51
Wow. Amazing. One of the most beautiful pictures I think I have ever seen on here. I Everything seems realistic, yet not, her hair looks so silky and smooth and beautiful, and she deserves to be on the runway. Beautiful complection, and I love the contrast between her pail skin and the dark-ish coat and deep pink/red lip gloss. And normally, I would agree with you when you say that coat is hideous, but on her, it just.... I don't know... It just... Fits. Very very very good work.

Gorgeous! Although she is clearly in Britain (Big Ben, back there?) I get a sort of Frenchy feel from the girl. Her eyes are just lovely!

One critique though is that that one part of her coat could use some darker shading.

She almost seems sad in those raging waves. I feel this piece is really beautiful.

Pink Strawberry @ 2008-05-28 08:47:30
I love this.I like how you made it realistic but then the small organic lines that scribble everywhere brings it down to being a picture. does that make sense? oh well its my favorite.

Malory @ 2008-05-29 12:12:09
Wow. Just Wow. It is so scratchy and chaotic, yet her face seems innocent and at peace. Her eyes are mesmerizing, and her lips are perfect. Some of the little things are what makes this a masterpiece. Like the golden-amber reflection from the ring/necklace/thing on her hand. And the background looks like lightning, emerging from the water. Truly wonderful!

this is amazing, so beautiful. i love the detail on the eyes and lips. very nice.

MaddHattre @ 2008-08-16 00:42:19
It took me a while to think of a suitable comment for this. I love the vivid colors, the screaming squid thing, and her gorgeous, soft face. The bright water in the background really brings out the brilliant hues in her eyes. It's creative, it's colorful, and you used the different drawing tools masterfully, I think.

closetchild @ 2008-09-01 15:12:14

Yep, well the songs were playing in my head so I had to draw him! ...and then I didn't like the empty background, so I had to draw her too ^__^;

I used four photos as reference, so it's not a perfect copy of anything ;)

(Edited on May 8, 2008, 6:25 am)

ShiningGolden @ 2008-05-11 23:53:21
Gorgeous work! Sweeney and Mrs. Lovett are instantly recognizable. I like the way you painted in grey tones, using just a touch of colour (similar to the style of the movie)... but I'm not so sure about the red box in the background (why draw the viewer's eye to it?) I love the way you did Sweeney's hair, and the hand holding the razor.

orangecow @ 2008-05-20 23:37:11
This is fairly good work but I don't feel like it's quite up to 3 stars...

Aimee-Oz @ 2008-05-21 14:22:49
I really like this, but I'm not sure the anatomy and body positioning are 3-star. She looks a little stiff, and Sweeney's head is kind of big. But I love their expressions, and his eyes. :)

GeoBio458 @ 2008-06-08 13:51:29
OMIGSH, YESSSS. :D I love this so much it's not even funny....xDD Lovin the razor and the BG and the textures!! <3 TOTAL. WIN.

Skitty @ 2008-08-12 11:55:50
At last, my arm is complete again!

I really like the texture of Sweeney's clothes. Be careful of where the mouths go on the faces... If you cover his mouth he looks exactly like Johnny Depp. Hee hee hee.

Oddity @ 2008-09-16 02:43:12
You really are an AMAZING. (and that is a total understatment)

I adore everything you put into this picture. Its funny with Mrs. Lovette. I quite liked the first version of her with her hand laying on the red box. but im not dissapointed in the way you choose to draw her. The background is truly outstanding, how many layers did you use? I also noticied the way you draw so fluidly, without mistakes almost. When you colour something the lines are straight... did you use a the mouse or a tablet?

I admire the way you perfect things ^.^

ferinx @ 2008-12-24 10:38:15

...or is he really dying from anorexia?? LOL

It's Wiggins from the Disney Pocahontas film...in a very much stylized form....

valisis @ 2008-04-18 02:57:12
I've never seen that movie, but I love this drawing! The hollowed-out/deep-set eyes look very victorian and um... romantic. he reminds me of a tragic heroine, haha. The skintones are fabulous, too.
I think some parts of the drawing look lineless, like the hair and the shirt, and getting rid of the rest of the lines (which are kind of scratchy) could make it look more polished.

Roulette-story @ 2008-04-18 03:19:04
I don't remember the film but it's a very nice drawing :)

weisen1 @ 2008-04-19 22:56:46
I love you interpretation of Disney characters.
As mentioned above, certain areas could do without lines and there are areas that could use a little more refining.
The mouth is also very jarring against everything else, cause the rest of the lighting is soft and that one spot is very sharp.

Otherwise, I really adore this picture.... he's such a woman XD;;

Dread.Mist @ 2008-05-17 18:04:39
Iiih. I love that movie. But his personality always irritated me. I dislike people who follow someone just because they're stronger than them, even thought they couldn't care less about other people. Mostly because I myself is such a bad judge of character, and I don't really have the courage to stand up to someone like that. Anyways, you really captured his personality well, and I love the folds on his clothes. :3

Excaliheart @ 2008-04-06 16:39:29
The painting of the two seems sad, but the background is contrasting and happy. Seems like they're in some sort of mermaid-induced turmoil. The child is so cute, looks just like mommy! My favorite part of this is the turtle, of course. He's just kinda floatin' by.. reminds me of me.

This is really nostalgic. It looks adventurous, and never ending. I love the greens.

flykkiller @ 2008-03-21 10:52:03
for practising there is training ground, not the main hall.

Taure @ 2008-03-21 11:06:36
Since when does practicing mean that the result is bad?

flykkiller @ 2008-03-22 03:50:29
sometimes it doesn't, but this is definietly piece of work, which doesn't fit main hall.

GeminiRyoko @ 2008-03-22 10:07:32
I think that Taure would know better than you whether or not something belongs in the mainhall, being that she was a mod here once :P. And isn't every picture someone draws practicing of some sort? I mean everyone practices to achieve a higher level than they already have, and if your skills are high enough, then sure its perfectly fine to practice a skill in the main hall. I see nothing wrong with that. And I love this piece to death :-3

Annibal @ 2008-03-22 19:47:27
I like it. I kinda wish there were more...definition? Not contrast, or saturation of color, but like...detail in the soil, a bit, or more of a gradual fade into the mist. But whatev, it makes me want to travel that road :D

eskimopie131 @ 2008-03-23 13:59:33
I love this piece! It's so soft, and inviting. It seems like an illustration in a children's fantasy story. My favorite part of it is the plants next to the tree on the far left. So pretty! I can imagine myself taking a stroll down this little path... :)

mingming @ 2008-03-23 16:53:03
OOoh me likey the shimmeryness of the grass. I think every piece of art doesn't need precise detail to be considered "good" I really love this...it's so dreamy...

Dreya @ 2008-03-26 09:35:14
It does feel like a dream. I realy want to walk down that path now. My favorite thing is that lovely little shrub on the right side of the road, it almost looks like an ashe juniper. Beautiful.

Prudence @ 2008-03-30 12:43:04
This is really very nice. I don't know why someone would say it doesn't fit in the Main Hall... I think it is more than worthy to be in here. I love the style in which you did the flora and fauna. Feels like an illustration out of a fantasy story book to me. Very Soft and magical. Kudos!

toosexyforthisusername @ 2008-04-09 20:46:59

Renor @ 2008-04-11 20:28:59
If the main hall "wasn't for practicing" I would like to see many images here gone. This is beautiful, and I agree nostalgic. Its very, or appears to be simple, but has a mysterious appearance to it.

Neo @ 2008-04-25 12:38:00
taure, you've done so much better than this before; i don't think this is up to par with your other works
i especially don't think this kind of piece is suited for the main hall either; it's very undefined and it looks careless.
but then again nobody even uses this website anymore so does it really matter

valisis @ 2008-05-10 18:46:53
I think there's an unmistakable similarity to a windows vista wallpaper, found here http://vistawallpapers.files.wordpress.com/2007/03/vista-wallpaper-forest.jpg
It's not my place to say whether or not this drawing belongs in the main hall, but I think credit for reference should always be given.

The cat's gorgeous @___@
The eyes are so dark and intense
And the face itself has real definition with the shadows
The rest of the image doesn't seem to have this amount of definition though; like under the chin :X

Pomkat @ 2007-08-13 15:10:46
Very nicely done~ The eyes are nearly perfect I'd say... the ears are really well done too. ^^

sakura06 @ 2007-08-13 23:49:58
the eyes have it in this pic for sure, only thing i find a lil itty bit off is the green shadow at the side of the neck on the left side, not sure y, but i still adore it, well done^_^

lavalizard @ 2007-08-14 00:24:20

Excellent job on the fur. It looks very realistic and soft. The eyes are the best part though:-)
<3 cats.

Draw4life @ 2007-09-22 13:46:49

Other than that, this whole picture is very well done, but I see about two places where it could have been a bit more defined.
This is pure goodness.

my biggest crit is that the body behind the head looks a little flat. maybe there are some more shadows around the neck?

lol thankyou for all the comments, I do agree about the shadow around the neck I think maybe I could make it a little darker, but if I remember correctly, that's what it was like on the ref lol. also I agree that the background could be a bit more detailed but I'm not very good with backgrounds so I don't want to change it incase I ruin the whole thing.. Oh and that ref wasn't the ref I used, I think its still the same cat but the one I used was in a slightly different pose and it was a closer up picture.. like the one I drew lol.

Pomkat @ 2007-08-04 12:56:49
Shi Painter messed up SO many times that my brain hurts. @_@ I had to merge the layers to send the final version for some reason.-Hopefully- it's up to par for 3 stars... but at this point I'm just glad it sent.

Edit: Oh... background information might help. >_> This is a scene from some stories my mother used to tell me when I was little. Theodore H. Bear + dragon who stole his kitten. xD

This is a realy cute image
The details mesh together real well with the background
I especially like the focusing of the grass closer and the blurring farther back
The rock also has a nice feel to it with the inner glow.. the path seems just a tad bare though, maybe add some bumps or some rubble?

Dorian23 @ 2007-08-10 17:27:03

here I go again - A-
Alimah Shepherd--another character from our graphic novel :9 I think she's pretty.
I cannot for the life of me get nice smooth work on oekaki XD I think I use to beable to...(or maybe my impaired judgement lead me to beleive my work was nice and smooth) but now I've slightly dissapointed myself.
Oh well. What's the point of making an appearance on OC without poking at the mainhall again? How ever, if I didn't like it, I wouldn't have submitted it ;]
That's enough from me now :9

MadHatter @ 2007-07-20 14:15:15
(thats' nice to see you here again~)
As for the pic, I'm afraid a bit more detail is needed for it to stay in the room. The girl's face is nice, but the background does look messy that way, and needs to be fixed.

I give you 24 hours to do something, then I'll be forced to remove the pic... :(

Mana @ 2007-07-26 03:25:21
...I can edit?
I can comment!?
Sweet jesus, its like christmas in July!

Thanks for being patient Hatter. I have no idea what went buggy with OC--what ever it was, its better now.

That being said--picture edited. Detail added :9 The only thing I really fixed up was the bg. Since that seemed to be the main issue. So I rendered it to par with the character. I also fixed a few minor things on Ali herself.
Anyhoo--hope this is better, if not, nuke away my dear :]

fukuhashi343 @ 2007-07-28 13:20:59

The pink on her cheeks also draw the eye up to her face, good job :3

Everything else is wonderful!

umbreot @ 2007-10-03 16:51:44

swiftspear86 @ 2007-10-14 12:01:17
Monochromatic color schemes have, by far, always been my favorite. A person who can capure the soft, gentle or even stark contrasts of reality by usinf only black, white and grays is a person well mastered in the ways of shadow and the play of light. I enjoy the random spruce of red for the lady bugs. You have a delicate sense of detail and...well...it just reminds me of a photo taken right after a heavy rain. I love it.

Kaedi @ 2007-11-01 00:59:42

eep! she's so beautiful :} I love the ladybugs.

FX @ 2007-11-25 15:50:23
The color pops make the detail come alive. The shadow play on the textiles is wonderful, and although basicly in black and white, a sence of movement is maintained, amazing work.

MegumiPandolfo @ 2007-12-09 23:21:20
God! =) I love it! ^^

Celtore @ 2007-12-23 14:58:47
"Oh how do I love thee, let me count the ways..." lol Seemed to fit this pic here. By far, one of my favorite oekaki pieces I've seen on any board. Everything blends in so well together. I love that it's in black and white, but the colored ladybugs really draw the eye into the picture. Without that, I think they'd almost fall unnoticed and the piece would lose its power. The movement on the top ladybug is well done and needed to contrast the static in the rest of the piece. The composition is exquisite. If the lines on the girl and ladybugs were a little smoother and slightly more pronounced, the quality is on par with most prints I look at.

Overall, it's amazing.

Elfofthesummermist. @ 2007-12-23 17:17:44

turquoiseporpoise @ 2008-09-05 19:17:03

Stunning. Your art is gorgeous.

Rinoa Tilmitt @ 2007-06-13 21:22:39
This is really nice and great job with the paint smoothness. I'm sorry if I'm a bit nosey, but did you use reference pics and a tablet?

Homeworld @ 2007-06-14 01:52:08
Thanks for the comments guys :3

weisen: i meant the edges between forms, some can be soft and some have to be hard, and it's hard to control that variation without a pressure-sensitive brush :( the paintbrush thing doesn't really cut it :P

Rinoa: yup, there's no point in attempting digital painting without a tablet. Used a bunch of refs as well :P

Qualm @ 2007-06-15 13:22:49
wow that's sexy! Looks like you drew it from a picture. ^_^ Nice job, Keep it up.

Rehknen @ 2007-06-16 00:44:22
This is a really impressive work, considering it is your first time using the program. You're really great. The lighting in this is especially good.

Blackberry Sage @ 2007-06-19 16:49:28
Beautiful!! She looks like a girl from my old highschool. haha.

GeminiRyoko @ 2007-06-20 23:31:14
It inspires me and makes me want to draw again but with Shi-Painter. I love the smoothness of it all, and the soft colors really give the picture a wonderful look.

dazzleanddestroy @ 2007-06-21 19:07:10
your choice of color palette is wonderful. It has a nice softness to it, the boobs are a bit odd though.. haha. overall, it's lovely.

KariBear @ 2007-06-27 16:38:46
I love the fluffiness and lightness of her hair.
It's so touchable!
And her pose..is so natural and flowing.
This is amazing.

how do u get such amazing skin tones?

Mana @ 2007-07-20 13:51:28
this is absolutely gorgeous--those eyes are so doll-like--almost creepy. They draw you right in. Your use of color is so beautiful--and smooth :9 she is very pretty.
stunning, slightly intimidating work.
<3

snufkin @ 2007-07-25 10:13:41
Wow, this is incredible, the lighting, the pose, looks fantastic.

Buzzibee @ 2007-07-28 18:50:19
Beautiful! The shading is soft, the light divine and the detail of her face just draws you right in. You have a wonderful handling of shi - more please :)

pic-char @ 2007-07-29 08:44:44
wow @.@
I'm amazed at the way you did the skin and body, especially her left elbow and knee.

Beholder @ 2007-08-02 19:27:22
Almost wish I could touch her! Great outlook of texture. So smooth. Although one thing bothers me... her breasts. They sag and drop a bit too much. Although she is leaning foreward... I'm not sure. It just looks a bit odd, but nonetheless beautiful. Oh, and kudos on her eyes. Very well done.

Sakii @ 2007-08-02 21:12:12
Very nice job on her skin. I adore how the whole picture has a soft silky/creamy look to it exept her eyes--they stand out and draw me in everytime I look at your picture!

supernouht @ 2007-08-03 23:23:46
Very cool, the hair is super realistic, it's kinda creepy in a way, like if an anime character was real.
I liked it better before the bra was drawn in though!

Alenore @ 2007-08-13 16:24:13
At first when i saw this, i thought it was a misplaced photograph. This is done very well. the pose is very realistic. and so is the curve and placement of her body. I think it looked good with the touch of blue i nthe back. But it is also very good without it. either way, i think you did a great job.

Voliary @ 2007-08-16 03:22:54
Wooow this is so awesome!! I keep staring at it for 5 minutes at a time every other word - can't even finish this comment! lol

Dm7 @ 2007-08-22 07:52:51
Things like this inspire me big time. I always aim for being able to paint something realistic like this. The skin tone is right on! I just wish I knew anatomy that well and be able to do it like you did. I watched the animation and I was absolutely amazed at how you did it. You surely know what you're doing and I'm hoping (and others probably) that you could give us a tutorial on it? Thank you for sharing this wonderful artwork with us, now we'll be staring at it for ages and ages...

RicaChika @ 2007-08-25 00:09:19

Wonderful from, shading, everything! I don't see anything that still needs work! I really adore her eyes.

evphoria @ 2007-09-24 23:04:59

mcruthless @ 2007-11-05 12:08:56
The shading on her skin is soft and beautiful~ Lovely work!

snapdragons @ 2007-11-10 23:19:52

this is so realistic xD very nicely done! I love it!

CrystalDragonair @ 2007-11-27 20:40:48
Oh. My. Gosh. It looks like a photo! If this was your first time, I would be really surprised because it looks so awesome! The only thing out of place is the eyes, by which I mean they look like a doll, no offense.

garyhal @ 2007-12-07 21:50:14
I'd have to agree about the eyes, but, thats part of what makes it so awesome. She nearly looks like a cat woman or something. :) Good Job.

kunoichi @ 2007-12-19 19:10:53
Wow, gorgeous work. And you put so much time into it, impressive!

Celtore @ 2007-12-23 14:36:24
Gorgeous picture. I think almost everything has already been pointed out. Very photo-realistic, but still has an air of watercolor or airbrushing. You depicted the female form almost perfectly.

One thing that bothers me though, is the eyes. They're beautifully done, but I think they may be a little too defined to fit in with the soft quality the rest of the piece possesses. But who knows...I've never actually managed anything remotely as good in an oekaki.

PainNoPleasure @ 2008-01-07 04:56:12
Wow, I actually thought this was a real picture! Her hair is lovely and the anatomy is perfect x

This is so pretty. The lighting is awesome and the anatomy looks really realistic. Her eyes are gorgeous too. She's almost cat-like. Great work!

grumpyestonian @ 2008-05-01 03:47:00
Wow, this is gorgeous. Did you use a reference? I love the softness of it and the brightness of the background. Well, the lighting in general.^^

Pladpuss @ 2008-05-04 02:52:40
Wow! I love your colouring style it's so smooth! I don't know if this is just me or not her eyes seem very..elvish? Haha I don't know but anyways amazing job!

mickey @ 2008-06-04 21:48:49
wow thats really good...the lighting and shadings, and its so clear.good job

Lovelykisses @ 2008-06-21 02:56:58
did you look at a real photo for this?

WinryShanaMisa @ 2008-06-25 00:28:12
hey, that's not fair. you can't be that good on here,so please go somewhere else where people can actually be compaired to that type of skill XD that's a whole new genre of amazing!

kuraigatsu @ 2008-06-26 13:09:00
she looks so real!

leeseikou @ 2008-07-14 00:31:45
I had a double-take here. This looks almost photo-realistic!!! The only thing that made me remember that it was a drawing was (well, it's on Oekaki for one thing, XD, that and...) the eye shape is different from any I've ever seen on a human. (pretty nonetheless!!!) VERY good.

ChocolateBunni @ 2008-07-14 16:54:05
Totally stunning!!

WhiteNeko90 @ 2008-07-20 21:31:58
The image is lovely and absolutely stunning. The details are amazing, but there is only ONE thing bothering me. I think you should make the outline of the eyes just a little lighter so it flows well with the rest of the body. That is the only thing that stands out to me, but other than that, great work, its amazing.

disasteriffick @ 2008-08-11 13:57:24
holy cow. as i scrolled down to find this, i thought it was a photograph!

MaddHattre @ 2008-08-16 00:44:52
I think this should have been in the Mirror Room, right? The only thing I don't really like about this is how high up on her chests, almost to her collar bones, her breasts pull on her skin. x] Well, I know: different people, different breasts. Maybe some just do that x__x But it's a beautiful picture, really. Her knee looks so real!

blackxlungbarbie @ 2008-09-14 17:01:11
so beautiful *o*

Nyokou @ 2008-10-17 14:36:35
Her face looks too unrealistic and stylized - I really suggest redoing it, but the background is gorgeous and really does come off as being photographic.

kelexie @ 2008-11-08 21:02:52
Such softness :) Great work here

dyxcrunnerxo @ 2008-11-12 09:37:49
very good accurate picture. love the pose and every bit of this picture is gorgeous.
nice work.

Gargoyle @ 2009-02-20 17:12:37
I am going to add to the mass of comments on this aswell. This is just amazing. It looks like a real oilpainting almost. Soft enough to have more life than oilpaints. Gah, amazing work!

Wow o___o

weisen1 @ 2007-06-07 09:02:02
There's a lot more intense shadows in this than you ever do
But they came out so nicely, and I like the silhouettes you've given the horses

K.N. @ 2007-06-07 13:21:11
Ah, weisen, you are so sharp ;)
I did actually do the shadows and highlights like that because one of my artist friend said I should try it ^^;

Mirre. @ 2007-06-07 14:45:20
This is sooo pretty! It's just... And all shiney! And the feathers! The shadows are great, especially on the rear end of the big horse (don't ask me why though).
You rule. Big time. ^^

Kiwilicious @ 2007-06-07 14:49:16
I have to say the wings are my favorite. I love how with the majority of the feathers, you actually made the vain and barbs visible (vain = feathery part, barbs = points of individual pieces of vain for those who don't know Dx my description sucks).

This is a very gorgeous piece - good job :3

Sachi @ 2007-06-07 15:34:52
