ah I was all down about loseing in the monthly theme at Fruit Patch anything goes oekaki so I desided I would draw to get my mind off it heh even though that makes no sence since drawing caused the problem LOL

anyways think I might have to retuch this since I have my screen turned to a different resolution so I can see the entire canvas it will most likely look funky when it's huge on my screen LOL eh the timer is also off by an hour since i had to walk the dog and eat but other than that it's right for once this was a quick oekaki for me LOL

can you tell i'm tired I can hardly understand what I'm typeing about

Edit: ah I give up so it's done I'm off to bed now lol it makes a funky wallpaper yep

Edit2: retuched the grass in the middle it was bugging me LOL

never did a tutorial but I tell ya what I will on my next oekaki I just need to find a board to draw at with a big data size limit that I have not drawn to much at latly haha I feel that i annoy people by drawing to much sometimes

Really lvoely! The grass is very nice and the texture of the terrain is beautiful. It is a little hard to tell if those green mountains are far away or close up though. I think maybe they should be a little bit lighter. But this is really really good!

I will explain the mountains the drawing was originally going to be alot different the mountains where the first thing I drew before moveing onto the front of the image the closer part was originally just going to be hills and trees but i was lazy

Snap. That is beautiful. I just can't draw scenery. :p That is some seriously professional stuff, but if I were to point out anything for improvement, it'd be that the grass in general seems an almost sickly weird shade of green. The mountains, too. Something about it just seems to throws off the harmony of the scene, but overall, very nicely done.

I'm always nervous about drawing in this room....

LOL You know there like totally needs to be a room with no time limit for lazy people like me haha my poor somputer has been on so many days *cries* oh well I think this pic is done I will have to check later when it's dark out because it's hard for me to tell during the day if you see anything that looks wrong with it let me know and I will try to fix it later tonight

as for the story behind this picture I wanted to draw elemental ancient dragons the first one was drawn a long long time ago and he was never finished it was the ancient dragon of wind, they look little alike but the same idea draw without lineart or layers in oekaki I will do some more dragons of the other elements when I finish some collabs that I need to get done

Wow, absolutely wow. The details here, are, as usual absolutely incredible. The colours are really nice too, I absolutely love the colours on the wing, and the contrast between the bg and the dragon.

whoa. red and blue. definitely dynamic. i love the amount of depth in this and how even though there are so many details and points of interest in this, the eye is the thing that captures my attention, that it sort of pulls everything together. by the way, i love that eye, absolutely gorgeous! ;)

Oh my... this piece is incredibly inspirational! The details and texture in the skin, the wings, and the vibrant colors (though unfortunately my computer monitor makes all colors dark, so I'll have to check this out on another one).

You have now motivated me to put 2000% into a future oekaki, and eventually put it on this board!

And I totally agree with you about the timelimit thing. This room should try to accomodate for artists who are serious about their work, but need to save periodically, as opposed to doing one continuous run.

That is the most awesome dragon I've seen in ages:-). That skin is incredible, the way it twists and swirls with such incredible detail, and those horns and teeth look so sharp. The background is equaly awesome, and that thick blue backlighting makes this picture perfection:-)

I saw this on gaia and had to go to deviant art and look again and then ahd to come here. Wow. All the good artists come here. I draw on Neondragonart's oekaki boards but no one is as good as the poeple here. I am awed. Can you really do that with the programs here? Wow. they seem less advanced than the one i used. wow... awso. O love the hilights ad the darknes the blue glow on the rosck from teh background is a wonderful touch. wow man.

I'm pretty sure Paint BBS is about the same on most oekaki boards I know it is on mine and here and pretty much all the other oekaki boards I'm a member of haha but if you know of a more advanced version thats not shi painter sure show me I wouldnt mind to test it out and see what I can do

I've seen this on DA before...

Watching the animation and the steps you took is AMAZING. I can fully understand why this took you so long.

The only words I uttered during it were "So much DEPTH!!!"--and then my computer went on standby because I hadn't touched the mouse for so long. Then I missed a bunch. And now I'm sad.

Although I will mention (even though I am but a mere pimple on the giant butt of an artist that is you) that there are a few places I wouldn't have put so much detail--to keep the depth thing rolling:

Since the groung and rocks in the fore-ground are so soft, I wouldnt have thought it a good idea to put so much detail into those three pillars of stone and the wall in the BG to the immediate right... Softening that would have brought it together even MORE perfectly than it already IS!

But thats just my little stupid opinion.

You did a greater job than I could have ever done on anything. Such attention to detail is above me; I am SO impatient!

I can't say more - everybody has written all what I feel and wanted to say. Just Incredible, breathtaken drawing. I'm looking at the two "bubbles" (ball?s) the red to the left and the bluish behind wing, what are they? Just curious, and not a crisism. Again I wish I had your talent and your eye for detail - just awesome!

this is absolutely breathtaking. i love contrasting color schemes like these. let me be the millionth something person that tells you that your use of textures and details and lighting is incredible! do you use concept sketches to look at when you do this? it looked that way from your animation

I do the lighting as I go along. I never really thought about using refs for lighting. lol Maybe that would be helpful.
