If you want to give him a more European look (You don't have to, but for future reference, I guess?) you should thin his lips and point his nose. And maybe don't let his eyes dip down so much near his nose? 'Course, there's nothing wrong with an Asian, eh? :D He could be a European Asian. Wasn't Hok from So You Think You Could Dance European?

Aw, I was safety-saving this and then I remembered that I lose layers when the image is saved... This is a portrait of an acrobat from Cirque du Soleil Corteo. The reference image was taken from his website. When I show people drawings and photos of him, they, well... Don't find him particularly good-looking. However, I love drawing his face, so needless-to-say, I don't find him ugly at all.

If you know Drizzt then you know when he first came to the surface he had to adapt to the sun's brutal rays. Well not many know that he had a kind elf to help shield his sensitive eyes.

I may or may not retouch this up a bit but for now it is finished.

otherwise! MAHN i like the whole music scheme.... there's the new scarf trend, that's my fave part here. I love how it's not a flat pattern fill, and the folds are in there.

I was about to comment on how I liked the nose...The way it's so defined gives the picture a clean feeling and adds symmetry.

I also like the grayscale and the hair. I actually think the lips look a little more off than the nose; there's a lot of light on the bottom lip. It doesn't seem consistent with your other lighting.

Hmm, I haven't Oekakied in a while, but I was feeling bored tonight. He's the main character from a comic I'm writing for a local anthology. He's a 1930's taxi driver (I even bought a little model car to use as reference, haha) who loses his job after being distracted by a woman in the street (she made him crash his car XD...)

The hand looks... fine, actually. Foreshortening can pffft itself as long as the style comes through, and I think it does here. The one thing that doesn't seem to fit in is the shading on his nose. I think a darker skincolor would have been more effective on the side because nowhere else do you use black shadingy lines. also, the color you picked as a highlight somehow looks 3-d, like an actual object instead of a shine. but those things may contribute to the drawing's charm... I like the final product

Thanks for the compliments and crits~ *__* The black shading was left over lineart (reading too much Inoue Takehiko manga OTZ....) there use to be more but it got covered over in colouring so the nose really stuck out. I went and touched up the face a bit, I made too large a jump when I did the highlight skintone (I think my colouring gets crazier all the time, I just pick colours and go vwoooom with the pen brush)

I drew something in the coloring book last night and somebody said my style was totally different. good or bad?
I don't know how it could've changed because I haven't been drawing at all lately.

I had a long story here but it was really... long. summary: aliens. It's totally cliche but that's why the dude's green. and his clothes are funked up. I didn't mean for him to look like kate moss, though.
also, this took 2 hours, not 7 minutes. pfft. I wish
p.p.p.s. thank you guys : ). I'm thinking about making an animation, but just the thought of being watched (some time in the future) makes me nervous...

And yeah, as you mentioned above, you've gotten a lot better at faces, and it shows, so that might be part of the reason ;D
Anyway, I really like the look of these two characters, very nice how you fiddled around with their skin tones, adoring the olive tint around the blond's eyes.

I only wish you had used the animated applet, so I could see how you blend your colours! I love what you've done with the background, it's hard to make something that doesn't detract from the characters and doesn't look like you just threw something together to fill up the empty space ;)

Their facial features are beautiful, I like their rounded eyes and full lips. I'm not totally sold on the blonde's skin colour though, it looks a little green to me.

Your painterly style is gorgeous *____*. Although a little green, I think the guy on the left's skin tone creates a nice contrast/compliment to the rest of his colouring. Also, his tie is just... ethereal. It almost seems to me like it has a moving, transient quality.

It is the way you do eyes, I believe. Your noses are a bit more detailed, and the eyes definantly. The coloring style is still basically the same though. I really like how you do your art still, so if anyone says change for the worse, kick them where it hurts >>;

I could have sworn I commented on this! Your choice of color and tones sets the most perfect mood for every piece you do here and this one is no exception. You are a brilliant artist, make no doubt! Just look at this! "Amazing" does this no justice! The skin looks so creamy. The shadows merge with boundaries so flawlessly, smoothly. The lighting brings out all the dimensions perfectly. I love your lines, especially on his hair. It's so prettily layered : ) The angular face is a good contrast to the hair and body. I think the first joint of the fingers are too skinny and bendy/rounded, though, with too much and too even of spaces between. At least on my hand they look rectangleish. When I space my fingers apart, they fan out instead of remaining parallel to one another.
The huge flower adds a surreal touch, I like. I think that the drawing would look more "pulled together" had you lined it with solids as well (on the petals) and highlighted with colors of your own choosing rather than the light tool.
One more minor critique- it seems that halos are usually parallel to the transverse plane of the body. It also seems like the back portion ought to be blocked by the head.

I think this is a rather nicely done picture 8D His face structure is lovely, and I love how you draw and color hair. it looks really soft...and chewable, yumyum. His abs look a little flat though--try giving his torso more powerful/deeper shading like his face to give it more volume.
