Great work on those muscles! The raised arm looks a little weird, and is thinner than the lowered arm... but it's like that in the ref too ;) The shading is gorgeous, and the dragon is a nice touch.
I think I have recovered from hyper-venthilating now. I could never draw anything... none the less muscles... none the less men... none the less dragons... I could not draw ANYTHING anywhere near half this amazing. You have always been in my top five favorite artists on here... but now you just ran straight up to the top. I love you. (Eh-hem) I... I... I mean I love your work and envy you. I am NOT a lesbian.
EDIT: I followed ShiningGolden's advice and moved up the image (to fill up the black space) and added some pants while doing it (not the best pants I've done but I guess it'll be fine)
No, not impossible ;) I like the anatomy and shading on this one, and the way you've incorporated in some green and yellow. I do find the composition troubling though... why cut off the head and arms and leave black space in the upper part of the canvas?
i saw this on the main page and said, 'mahn here comes another pasty looking water colors job,' but then i clicked on the full view and srsly, everything worked so smoothly. i love being surprised like that, lol. every thing's off focus, but the high contrast really brings everything together so nicely. heh
Yeah you did the veins really nicely! I also like the way you did the jeans a lot, not sure why... they add something interesting to the pic =D and of course the background is great! simple yet still beautiful. great job on this
wow! I wished my boyfriend has that body (he is skinny like a stick-figure!) and I love the guys face. He looks a little shy being without his skirt ;D
but one thing that bothers me is that the jeans looks unfinished. But except that, it's gorgeous!
This is a really good piece of work! The greyscale is good, the anatomy and proportions re excellent....and the wrinkles in the fabric are great, although they look slightly unfinished, but they do the job. Really lovely work.
I really love all of this and I can't believe I have a critique. Hopefully you don't mind... The area wher she is grabbing her foot, I think the fingers could use more dark definition there, and her eyes bother me for some reason... they seem kind of dead. :( But I love everything else, the pose and the fabric was done so well and the feet and breasts. Great job.

The lines in her back might be a bit sharp though, the muscles tend to look softer
And her hips (if it's a girl) look a tad small, they should be about the width of the shoulder or wider
I like the overall feel of this picture though, It all looks so soft and touchable, like something out of a silverscreen movie
Was it "As Good as it Gets" ? Where she's getting out of the tub and the gay artist tells her to hold that pose. (I think that was As Good as it Gets....)
Well, I certsinly haven't been here in a long while. I got bored today though and wanted to see what was going on around here. I thought this figure room was pretty cool (shows how long I've been gone). Anyways, so I took 15min or so and doodled this. Hope people like it ^__^
more experimenting.. if it needs more work let me know, i just got off work so i have to stop and i thought it looked pretty finished but i can't really tell so. there's that

i like the angle on this alot, but the nose is a bit out, apart from that it really nice. the colours give is a relaxed air, but the dramatic composition adds a sense of contained intensity
So I kind of swore off oekaki unofficially for probably years now, but I'm finally back, and i feel i've improved tremendously, so i figured i'd challenge myself with an interesting perspective. so i found a cool summery picture, and there you go.
Nicely done! The shading is really great, you could probably smoothen it out a little though =)
I love the belly. The only thing that looks weird in the mouth XD
Edit: after taking a look at the ref, I realise there's not much you could have done to make the mouth better. Sorry! Sometime, though, it's better to use your imagination than trust your ref too much =)
The skin texture on this is amazing; my only real criticism is that in the reference, the weird part of her mouth is her cheekbone; it is subtle in the shading in the original and easy to miss, but how it is now almost makes her look like she has advanced syphillis.
Oh wow, that IS one dreamy back. It looks as if it were done with colored pencils and acrylics or something.
C'nC-wise, I love how you executed the lighting and anatomy, but the way the head seems uneven compared to the rest of the picture... particularly the hair. It's very scritchy and not as solid when you compare it to the back.
I do love this though. Keep up the fantastic work! :D
I have to agree with rocker
The back looks so soft and supple, but the hair sorta detracts from the mood
It stand out too much, maybe if you tried to fade it in with a bigger brush, more watercolouresque?
i think the part that got my attention was the angle and length of her upper rib cage, her neck and her head...it should be lengthier and smaller. JUST A BIT, not too much, just the width of the neck needs a little bit thinning...but it looks great
beautiful image! your shading is so smooth, and yet you haven't lost any sense of value or contrast. i'm really drawn to her hand and to her breasts, as they're both so beautifully rendered. the light at the top also seems to form a halo, giving her an ethereal quality. the figure's elongation and her stylized head reminds me of a picasso or figure study by schiele.
Truly beautiful. One thing though.... The jaw seems very square and masculan. Along with the lips. The body seems very sleek and smooth, curvacious... Then you have the hard, square jaw and lips.
this is a very hard pose to do. It looks very good. 2 things sort of bother me though. the right thigh seems a little short and her torso seems twisted too much.. I don't think both breasts should be forward like that. Then again.. it may just be me :] It looks good though. I like the her face and foot. and the idea is good.
that's quite a difficult pose
the buttocks muscle don't seem to be reacting to it though
otherwise i think you did a fine job on this, besides a few scratchy lines here and there

well, i didn't realize that the tones would come out all smudgy, so now you have to sort of squint when you look at it. but that's okay, it makes the image interactive. i unfortunately lost the link to the reference photo.
I really like your style and she shading is excellent! I think with all the texture and block shading it almost looks like something you could cross stitch...
I really love the use of colors and tones in different patterns here - it has so many layers!
I would like the background to be a bit less sketchy personally, but the picture is still amazing.

in the beginning i was going to make a copy, but after drawing lineart i decided to re-make this picture in "oekaki-style" (coloring a lineart)
Oooh La! This has an absolutely beautiful painterly feel to it. I'm especially fond of the distinction you've achieved in the face and hands. Lovely forshortend pose.
Interesting--this reminds me very much of Cezanne. Your subject's bottom almost looks like one of his apples. He used black gesso too, and it looks like you started on a black background. He wrote about finding the spaces between the colors, and I think you've (consciously or unconsciously) explored those spaces. This work has a very visceral, physical feel to it, and the composition and framing here is excellent. Your use of light is as playful as your stroke style. This is really nice--body as still-life.
Ooh, I think I love you. This is such a pretty picture and I like how her anatomy is so realistic and beautiful ^__^ All the details and colours... just wow...

i love how you shaded the hair.and the fact that the body looks real.i love how the pose is like he is scared of what the background is.it looks like shattering orange glass almost or something that is not descibable.

The background however looks a little unfinished. Too bad, because it could be really impressive with those strong colors and shapes, but it looks a little too lazy and unfinished for that. Maybe try to straighten out all the edges, that might help.
I really love how you coloured this. The only problem I have is her hand seems more like a paw... Maybe it's because her fingers are really thick. I do, however, REALLLY love her foot and her position.
Oh wow, I love the pose you put her in, it's so well done and I love the foot!
As for crits, like someone else said, her hand's a little paw like, maybe there should be some indentations on where it's resting in the sand, and then lengethen it a bit and make the fingers less thick!
That's about all I can personally see on the girl though :) I love your shading style!
