General Rules of OekakiCentral
NO COMPLAINING ABOUT THE RULES. IF YOU DRAW HERE, YOU AGREE TO ALL OF THEM WITHOUT DISCUSSION.
Due to availability issues of moderators, we have decided to take a big brother / sister approach to the Workshop. The Workshop will make use of Sponsors, advanced users who are willing to give some time to help others with their images. Sponsors will need to be friendly, polite, commited and very skilled.
It is important to note this is NOT to be treated as a collaboration room, but a help room.
Users who are not capable of very strong 2-stars images should absolutely abstain from offering to help. Users who wish to offer their help should have several 2-stars images on OekakiCentral.com.
Users who should ask for help are users who are close to being able to produce 2-stars images. If you're not sure of your level, access the Star Rating page and send a message to the mods, including in your message a link to one (or more) of your oekaki pictures. Please use any of the 1-star rooms to draw your submission pictures.
Please remember that you need to have drawn at least 25 images (check your Profile) to be able to submit a picture in this room.
[!] Please take a moment to read our FAQ, before you continue: http://www.oekakicentral.com/faq.php. All the general questions about the board are explained there.

[!] If you have any issues or questions, please contact a moderator before you start drawing! Be aware that any image that doesn't meet the rules of the room will be deleted without warning.
How to Start
- Sponsors should post their availability on the message board in the Workshop Sponsors section. They are responsible for keeping their status up to date. Please make sure to include both your OC username and your MessageBoard username in your message.
- Users who seek help should contact a sponsor via OCMAIL or a Private Message. They should not post directly in the message board forum, in order to keep it clean. The user should explain what kind of image they are going to draw and what they need help with.
- Once a user has found a sponsor who is willing to help, they should draw the image in the workshop using PaintBBS Animated. Users should know they will not always be able to find a sponsor for a particular image.
- Once the image has been submitted, the user should make sure that the sponsor is the co-owner of the image.
- Once the image is completely done, it must be marked as finished.
- The Sponsor should then retouch the image and apply what ever corrections where needed to the image and then should comment on what he or she has done. The usage of line frames and arrows is recommended to help users understand.
Rules of the Workshop
- Neopets/virtual pets are not allowed in this room.
- You are expected to do your best on every aspect of the picture in order to get advice. Please attend to the whole image, not just certain parts of it (like only anatomy or only shading). Pictures that are not complete in every way will not be taken into consideration. If you think that you are not yet capable in some major aspect of picture-making, such as backgrounds, then you probably aren't ready to be drawing in the Workshop.
- Only moderators are allowed to give out star ratings. Sponsors are not.
- Comments and critiques should be left only by users who are ALREADY up to the 2-stars standards. When commenting, try to give more criticisms as well as comments — short comments like "this is cute" will probably be deleted.
- Please DO NOT comment or ask for comments if your picture is not finished, unless it's to point out something that need to be fixed. It's more appropriate to comment on things when they're actually done, and give the artist a chance to show what they've got.
- Use of thumbnails and JPG compression are our way to preserve bandwidth. You can see the full-size, better quality JPG image when leaving a comment on it, so please refrain from posting links to "better" versions of the images, in your comments.
- Rudeness is not tolerated ANYWHERE. There is no need to be harsh or rude in order to express yourself, or to give a fair, honest critique.
- On the use of reference pictures: in this room we want to see your drawing, not your copy of the work of someone else. It's fine to use a photo as a reference for your picture, but please include a URL to the image, otherwise the person critiquing your picture will not have enough information.
- Please note that you should periodically check back to see any criticisms people have posted on your picture. Don't expect an immediate response. Your picture will be processed as soon as possible, so please be patient.
Even in the Workshop, some types of pictures are not allowed. If you want your picture to stay, DO NOT:
- Post images or comments that depict or suggest excessive violence, self-harm, excessive gore (subject to the moderator's discretion), defecation, or a vulgar nature. This will also extend to anything promoting hate, intolerance and discrimination of all types.
- Mark as "Finished" images that are still incomplete (all the unfinished images marked as "Finished" will be deleted without exception).
- Post safety saves if the lineart is not 100% done or the lineless picture is not 50% done. You have 24 hours from the first sending to complete the image and mark it as "Finished".
- Submit images that lacks something required for 2-stars work, such as shading or background. Remember, the goal of the Workshop is to help you reach 2-stars quality work. If you don't work to that goal in your submission, we can't help you.
- Submit images of explicit (sexual) nudity—those images belong to the Bedroom room. Artistic (non-sexual) nudity is fine everywhere
Finally, if you feel that an unjust decision has been made, you may appeal it to one of the superadmins or to the management, in that order. (Check the list of the staff members on the main page of the site)
